The 3D floor plan
Orbit a measured, 3D model of a scanned home, tap any piece of furniture to open its inventory line, and read it by sticker number and color.
When a room has been scanned with LiDAR, Van Line Pro can show the whole home as an orbitable 3D model. Walls rise to a standard ceiling height, and every piece of furniture becomes a color-coded block sized to its real, measured footprint. Tap a block to jump straight to that item's inventory line. It's built from the same measurements the scan already captured, so nothing new needs to be scanned.
Who this is for: Anyone reviewing a scanned job. You'll need: At least one room with a measured floor plan (from a LiDAR scan). Rooms captured by photo, voice, or by hand have no layout.
Before you start
The floor plan only appears when a room in the job actually has a scanned layout. If no room was scanned with LiDAR, the Floor plan option won't be in the job menu. See Scan a room with LiDAR.
Open the floor plan

Open the job.

Tap the options menu (the ••• button, top right).

Tap Floor plan.
You can also tap the small Measured layout preview shown above a scanned room's items to open the plan focused on that room.
Move around the plan
The plan opens angled from above, framing the whole home (or the room you focused). Use one, two, or a pinching pair of fingers:

| Drag with two fingers | Pans the plan under your fingers. |
| Pinch | Zooms in and out. |
The horizon stays level no matter how you orbit, so the model can't roll over or tip upside down.
Read the plan
- Furniture blocks are tinted by category, so bedroom, furniture, electronics, and the rest read apart at a glance. Each block's footprint is its measured size; its height comes from the linked item's cubic feet.
- Numbered badges float above pieces that have a permanent inventory number. A voided line drops its badge, because its number is retired. See Item numbers: Void vs. Delete.
- The legend runs along the bottom, showing a colored dot and name for every category actually on this plan (never a fixed list).
Open an item from the plan

Tap any furniture block.

A card slides up from the bottom showing that item's name, its number, cube, weight, and any existing damage codes.

Tap Open item to open the full item editor.
Note: If the inventory has been finalized, the card is view-only and there is no Open item button, because a signed inventory can't be edited. See Finalize and sign.
Close the plan
Tap Done in the top right to return to the job.
Good to know
- The 3D model is a clean, blocky drawing, not a photo. LiDAR measures shape and size, not surface texture, so pieces render as tidy architectural blocks.
- Every scanned room renders in 3D. The model is extruded from the measured 2D plan the app already stores, so no extra scan step is needed.
- The plan is read-only here. All edits happen in the item editor, reached through Open item.
