The review screen after a scan

After you finish a LiDAR scan, the review screen is the final check before anything is imported. Here's how to work it.

Requires: iPhone Pro or iPad Pro with a LiDAR scanner

When you tap Finish Scan, the app builds the room model and lands you on the review screen. This is the final gate before anything is imported onto the inventory, so it's worth a careful look. Nothing joins the job until you tap Done here.

Who this is for: Crew and estimators.

What happens first

After Finish Scan, the app processes the room. You'll see a spinner with "Building room model…", then "Identifying items…" as it refines the coarse LiDAR labels into real names (using vision when AI is on, on-device name cleanup otherwise). Then the review screen appears, titled Review Scan (or Review Room 2, and so on, for later rooms in the same session).

Edit the room name

At the top is an editable Room name field. It's pre-filled with the room you chose up front (or a numbered default like "Room 1"). Change it here if needed. This is your chance to rename a scanned room before it's imported.

The floor plan

If the scan produced geometry, a Room layout section shows the measured top-down floor plan (walls plus each detected object's footprint). This layout is carried onto the imported room and drawn on the inventory. If the scan produced no geometry, the section simply doesn't appear.

The item list

Under Detected items (N selected), every candidate line shows its name, quantity (if more than one), category, cube, weight, and an include/exclude toggle. Turn a toggle off to leave a line out. The section header updates with how many are selected.

Each line also carries a status badge so you know where it came from:

  • Confirmed during walk (green check-seal) — you already tapped Add on this item during walk and talk. It arrives included.
  • Heard during walk — not confirmed (waveform) — you said it but never confirmed it. It arrives unchecked, so nothing you said is lost, but nothing is added by accident either. Include it or leave it off.

Damage on the review lines

Damage the crew coded shows as "Pre-existing: Scratched, Dented" on the line. Something you only spoke, that couldn't be auto-coded, shows as "Heard: '…' — code it in the item editor" so you know to add the code by hand later. Any damage photos you grabbed during the walk show as "N damage photo(s) attached."

Important: AI-suggested damage from the scan is never on the line as recorded damage. Only what the crew confirmed lands here; AI suggestions are reviewed separately and never self-apply. See How damage codes work.

Scan another room, or finish

At the bottom:

  • Scan another room commits this room and restarts the scanner for the next one, in the same session. Rooms scanned together are aligned into one home layout. (The footer notes how many rooms are already scanned: "N rooms already scanned. They'll all be added together.")
  • Done commits this room and imports everything from the session into the job.

Result: Each included piece is imported as an individually numbered item with its measured or estimated cube and weight, filed under its room. Confirmed cartons land under the job's Packing materials.

Troubleshooting

  • "No objects were detected. Try again, moving slowly so the scanner sees each piece of furniture." — the scan ended without finding furniture. Rescan more slowly, keeping each piece in frame.
  • A line reads lower cube than expected, badged as an estimate — the piece landed as a catalog estimate rather than a measurement (walked past too fast, or the scanner retracted it). Correct the cube in the Item Editor after import, or rescan.
