The Library tab
Find any customer file fast: the Library lists every job A–Z by last name, grouped by letter, and searchable by name or order number.
The Library tab is a directory of every job your company has ever created. It's sorted A–Z by the shipper's last name and grouped under letter headings, so it's the fastest way to look up a past customer. Where the Jobs list is your working queue, the Library is your filing cabinet.
How the Library is organized
- Every job appears, sorted by last name, then first name.
- Jobs are grouped under a letter heading (the first letter of the last name). A job whose last name doesn't start with a letter files under #.
- Each row shows:
- A tag color swatch (gray if no tag color is set).
- The name as "Last, First".
- Below the name: the order number (shown as
#SVM-10428), or No order # if none is set, then a dot, then the move type.
Tap a row to open that job's inventory.
Search
Use the search field at the top (prompt: "Name or order number") to filter the list. Search matches:
- The last name
- The first name
- The order number
Results stay grouped by letter as you type.
Pull to refresh
Pull down on the list to re-load jobs from the cloud. This is useful when a teammate created or changed a job on another device.
Delete a customer file
Deleting from the Library removes the whole customer file. You can delete a row two ways:
- Swipe the row from the right and tap Delete.
- Press and hold the row and choose Delete customer file.
Either way, the app confirms first:
- Title: "Delete customer file?"
- Buttons: Delete [name] and Cancel.
The message depends on whether the inventory has been signed:
- Signed (finalized) job: "This permanently deletes [name] — including the signed inventory, its photos, and the signature record. This can't be undone."
- Not yet signed: "This permanently deletes [name] and its entire inventory, including photos. This can't be undone."
Important: Deleting a finalized customer file removes the signed legal inventory, its photos, and the signature record. This can't be undone. Be certain before you confirm.
Empty and error states
- No jobs yet. A brand-new (or newly synced) library shows a books icon, the title "No jobs yet", and the message "Jobs you create will be filed here, A–Z by last name." Pull to refresh while the first jobs sync in.
- No matches. When a search finds nothing, you see a magnifying-glass icon, the title "No matches", and the message "Nothing filed under "[your query]". Search by last name, first name, or order number."
- Couldn't load. If the library can't load and nothing is cached, you see "Couldn't load the library" with a Try again button. If jobs are already showing but a refresh fails, a banner with a Retry action appears above the list instead.
