Short answers to the things people ask most. Each links to the full article.

Do I need a special device?

For LiDAR scanning, yes: an iPhone Pro (12 Pro or later) or iPad Pro with a LiDAR scanner. On any other device the app shows "Scanning unavailable," but you can still capture by photo, dictation, or catalog. See Device and scanning issues and Choosing a capture method.

Is my data private?

Your data is company-scoped and stored on US servers. Dictation audio and any photo you don't attach never leave your device. With AI on, item/room photos and scan data go to Anthropic's Claude API to generate suggestions and are not used to train Anthropic's models; with AI off, nothing is sent. See Privacy and your data.

Can I edit an inventory after it's been signed?

Signing captures the state of the inventory at that moment. Treat a signed inventory as the official record. See Finalizing and exporting for how signing and export work.

What's the difference between void and delete?

Void retires an item that already got a permanent number (a sticker), keeping the number in the record so nothing looks missing. Delete is only for a never-stickered mistake. Each piece keeps one permanent number for life. See Finalizing and exporting.

Why is weight filled in automatically?

The app derives weight from the measured or estimated cube and the item's category, so the crew doesn't have to weigh anything. You can override it by hand in the Item Editor's size details, and tap Auto to go back to deriving. See Categories & how weight is estimated and Scan a room with LiDAR.

What do CP and PBO mean?

Carrier packed (CP) and packed by owner (PBO) describe who packed a box. They apply only to boxes/cartons, never to furniture, so the packed-by field shows only on the boxes category. See How damage codes work for the notation system.

Do the move-day forms show for local moves?

The app tailors move-day paperwork to the job. See Move-day forms for which forms apply and when.

The AI isn't suggesting anything. Why?

AI photo analysis is admin-only and off by default. An admin turns it on in Settings › AI photo analysis › Analyze item photos for damage. See Photos and AI issues and AI photo analysis.

Does the app work with no signal?

Yes. Capture is local-first, so you can build a whole inventory offline. It syncs to your crew and the cloud once you're back online. See Offline use and syncing.

A teammate can't see a job I made. What's wrong?

Both devices need to have been online since the change, and both people need to be in the same company. See Sync and offline issues.

The camera or dictation won't start.

Check permissions. The camera shows "Camera access is off" if it's denied; dictation needs both microphone and speech access. See Camera, microphone & photo permissions.

How do I contact support?

In the app, go to Settings › About › Contact support, which opens a pre-addressed email. See Contact support.

Can I switch phones without losing my inventory?

Yes. Your data lives in the cloud. Sign out on the old phone (which clears its local copy) and sign in on the new one, everything re-syncs. Don't delete your account just to switch devices. See Manage your account and Delete your account.

What happens if I delete my account?

It's permanent. If you're the last member of your company, all of the company's jobs, items, photos, and inventory data are deleted too. See Delete your account.
